Inquiring Minds

Good morning Bulldogs! Let me start by saying this is going to be one hell of a fun blog.  I am going to clue this community in on all the corrupt, back stabbing, under handed, and dirty things that go on at Milton-Union Schools, right here in little ol' West Milton, Ohio.  Why does the school system screaming for money all the time, claiming they have none?  Probably because we pay our admins significantly more than any other comparable district in the area.  Why do we allow admins to retire, re-hire and only take a $10,000 pay cut to their already inflated wages, but when a teacher does the same, they are required to have their salary cut in half? Why do we have a full time athletic director, who can't line a field, put the field markers out, or remember to return a contract so that we don't waste money sending our teams to a school, who isn't expecting us?  Why is Fat Larry seen spending more time at the Bulldog Diner than he is preforming his maintenance duties at the school? Why did the school pay for the Rec Assoc. new concession stands?  Why is the cross country track team permitted to run through the muddy woods and then parade through the new weight room making a huge mess?  Why are the softball teams allowed to practice pitching at our new walls in the cafitorium? My goal is to explore and provide in site to a deceived community who has been kept in the dark for far to long.  I hope you enjoy my antics and share them with your friends and family. Maybe we will open a few eyes, maybe we will just stir the pot.....

  1. Your statements are interesting, but please tell us how you got the info and how reliable it is. Why has it not been brought up at meetings and why a forum such as this to deliver the info?

It is difficult to put credibility to something raised Ina blog and signed hiding behind a moniker.

    1. I sincerely want to address your questions, so here it goes. I feel the information is very reliable due to the sources. The salary info can all be obtained by anyone will to look, it's public record and on file with the Ohio Treasury office. The information regarding the athletic director comes from my own observation of him and my knowledge of what past athletic directors have done. The portion of the un-returned contracts and messed up sports schedules comes directly from the players and parents affected by these blunders. As for Larry, you can stop by the diner and see for yourself. He's always there, nobody has that many breaks and/or vacation time. The new concession stand purchase is also public record. Softball teams in the cafatorium, witnessed myself when attending a school function. Couldn't believe they were doing it, was completely horrified and shocked. The thing about the track team is my least back up fact, it was simple told to a friend of a friend of a friend. But with all the other things I've seen, it isn't that to far fetched. As for bringing it up at meetings, it's pointless. We've tried. What needs to happen is that the new generation of parents need to get more involved and be more aware of what is happening in there community and take a stand for themselves. I am hoping that by using this type of forum, that I am able to spark the interest of the younger parents and get them looking into things for themselves. Making it anonyms, well that is to protect my own self and family from community back lash. And so that people my too, speak freely without fear of judgment and negative treatment. As sad as it is, people in Milton don't speak up anymore because of the negative affect that it can have on their children or grandchildren. It's sad that adults would unleash backlash on children, but I've seen it happen. So the point of this blog isn't to enrage and start community wars. But to open the eyes of the new generation of parents so that they may speak up and get handle on this community before all is lost. I long for the days when Milton-Union was a school to be proud of. I support our children on every level, I attend most sporting events and every community event sponsored by the school but this is a village of people that need to wake up and smell the roses, they're surrounded by poison ivy and they stink.
